Each Ticket includes one roll of black and white Film, which we'll develop and scan the week following the class.

Camera Chat: Bring your favorite film camera and let’s geek out together. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, there’s always something new to learn.


Film Fundamentals: We’ll dive into the world of black-and-white film photography, covering how film works, what makes black-and-white so timeless, and key tips for achieving rich tones, dramatic contrast, and striking compositions.


Hands-On Help: Need a refresher on how to load your film or adjust your camera settings for studio work? No problem—Aaron and Colton are here to guide you.


Lighting Techniques: Learn how to use studio lighting to highlight textures, shapes, and shadows that make black-and-white photography so captivating. We'll discuss one-light setups, creating soft shadows, and high-key vs. low-key looks.


Composition & Posing: Experiment with simple yet striking compositions and timeless poses that shine in black-and-white. We'll provide tips for working with models or self-portraits.


Hands-On Shooting: Practice with studio setups featuring classic black-and-white subjects, such as textured fabrics, dramatic props, and portraits. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with different lighting arrangements and capture a variety of styles.


Wrap-Up and Chat: After our session, we'll discuss what worked, our challenges, and film processing.
